My name is Sophie and I am mummy to our very own PÉPÉ BEAR, Bertie.
I started PÉPÉ BEAR with my husband James when I fell pregnant and started looking for newborn baby clothes and I was struggling to find baby clothes that were unique and cute but also stylish.
This led us on a journey to learn how to create our own baby clothing line and what I discovered is that the production of clothing is not sustainable to our planet, traditional cotton growing practices expose our baby's delicate skin to toxic chemicals and the supply chain encourages bad practices.
I wanted materials that were not only organic but unique and classy. The style I love is sketch drawings and watercolours and I wanted an animal theme throughout that was unisex, timeless in style and catered to babies and toddlers, from Newborn to 3 years.
With PÉPÉ BEAR we are doing our bit to build the future that we want for our children. This is decentralised capitalism, products handmade on demand so that there is less waste, high quality products that last, materials that are eco-friendly and sustainably sourced, all whilst providing customers with something that is truly unique that no one else has and supports small creators and artisans.
